A new magazine graces the news racks in south Mississippi and
Louisiana. Southern Senior magazine
serves the region as a quarterly publication with a focus on local stories with
a senior focus. A product of Pearl River Communications, Inc., the magazine
joins WRJW Radio and the Swap Shop
newspaper in service to local readers and listeners.
The coverage area includes seven counties and two parishes: Marion,
Lamar, Forrest, Pearl River, Hancock, Stone and Harrison counties in
Mississippi, and Washington and St. Tammany parishes in Louisiana. The editors
seek submissions from local authors on subjects pertaining to senior interests
in those areas.
