Connections take many forms in Scott Springer’s romantic thriller Bound by Blood. The author
examines the nature of relationships and obligations through the eyes of Rick
Mercado, the new construction company site foreman, and Julia Benson, the
company’s secretary/receptionist.
Mercado lost a sister years before and he knows the high
cost of drug dealers in a community. His pride has brought him to work at Ben’s
Johnson’s Concrete Construction rather than his own father’s company.
