New regional magazine for south MS, LA

A new magazine graces the news racks in south Mississippi and Louisiana. Southern Senior magazine serves the region as a quarterly publication with a focus on local stories with a senior focus. A product of Pearl River Communications, Inc., the magazine joins WRJW Radio and the Swap Shop newspaper in service to local readers and listeners.

The coverage area includes seven counties and two parishes: Marion, Lamar, Forrest, Pearl River, Hancock, Stone and Harrison counties in Mississippi, and Washington and St. Tammany parishes in Louisiana. The editors seek submissions from local authors on subjects pertaining to senior interests in those areas.

Brenda Novak rules Regency London with new historical romance

New York Times bestselling author Brenda Novak takes readers into London in 1830 in her new release, A Matter of Grave Concern. This historical romantic mystery delivers a strong-willed leading lady and a roguish leading man facing off against grave robbers and kidnappers.

For Abigail Hale, the world exists inside the medical school where her father teaches. Medical schools must teach anatomy and anatomy requires cadavers. Like so many others, Aldersgate School of Medicine strikes an uneasy bargain with those who can provide the necessary bodies. Some get bodies from indigents who have left no funds for a funeral. Others come from the new graves of properly buried bodies.
